The Pirates today promoted Jeff Branson to hitting coach for their Triple-A Indianapolis affiliate.

Branson, 41, spent the last two years as manager for Class A Lynchburg. He joined the Pirates' organization in 2003 as hitting coach for low-A Williamsport, and worked the past five seasons as a manager in the farm system.

"Managing has prepared Jeff to be an even better coach as he positively impacts the development of our upper-level position players," farm director Kyle Stark said.

“제프는 우리 탑 마이너리거 선수들을 성장시켰기 때문에 그는 더 높은 곳에서 코치를 시키기로 했죠.”라고  팜 디렉터리인 카일 스탁(Kyle Stark)은 말했습니다.

Also, the Pirates announced that Indianapolis pitching coach Ray Searage will remain in that role for 2009. Searge, 53, has worked six years in the Pirates' farm system.

또한, 벅스는 인디에나폴리스의 투수코치로 레이 씨레지(Ray Searage)를 임명할 겁니다. 그는 6년동안 벅스와 같이 해왔었습니다.

The Triple-A club is still without a manager for '09, as the Pirates seek a replacement for Trent Jewett. Jewett served as a skipper in Pittsburgh's Minor League system for 16 seasons.

인디에나폴리스는 09시즌의 감독이 아직 없습니다. 벅스는 트랜트 지웰트(Trent Jewett)의 후임을 찾고 있습니다. 지웰트는 벅스마이너에서 16을 보냈죠.

In addition to the managerial vacancy in Indianapolis, the Pirates have three other Minor League managers left to hire as well. Double-A Altoona needs to replace Tim Leiper, who was not invited back after the end of the season. The hiring of Branson as the Indians' hitting coach leaves a managerial opening in Lynchburg. And Brad Fischer, who managed the short season State College club in '08, recently left to take a position as Milwaukee's third-base coach.

더블A팀인 앨투나의 감독이었던 팀 레이퍼(Tim Leiper)도 올시즌 후 쫓아버렸죠. 브랜슨이 트리플A팀의 타격코치로 승진함으로써 린츠버그팀의 감독도 공석이 되었습니다. 브래드 피셔는 최근에 맥주네 3루 코치로 갔다는건 이미 포스팅했기에 패스!! 

In Monday's announcement, the Pirates also confirmed that trainer Jose Ministral and strength and conditioning coordinator Mubarak Malik will both be returning for a fourth season with Indianapolis.
